The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series – The Original Extreme Sport – is thrilled to announce that in 2017 it will launch its first U.S. Women’s Division!

The inaugural Women’s Division - which is open to US athletes only - will take place at Cherry Valley, N.Y. from June 16 to 18 as part of the Men’s STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Northeast Pro Qualifier. The women’s competition will follow a three-stage format:

• June 16 – Open format. Each registered competitor will participate in all three disciplines
• June 17 – The top 16 athletes will be seeded into two pools of eight
• June 18 – Top four athletes from each pool will be seeded into a final pool of eight

The three competing disciplines will include:

• Underhand Chop – 12-inch wood
• Stock Saw – 16-inch wood with MS 661 chainsaw
• Singlebuck – 16-inch wood
